I am having a dinner party on Sunday and I want to make the lasagna the night before. Should I cook it on Saturday fully and then re-heat it on Sunday or just assemble it on Saturday and cook it on Sunday?
Definitely assemble the lasagna on Saturday and leave it over night in the fridge but do not cook it until Sunday. When you are ready to cook it, take it out of the fridge and wait about 15 minutes then stick it in the oven at 350 for 45-an hour, depending on how big the lasagna is. When done, remove from oven and let sit for a half an hour before you cut into it so everything firms up again. You can ladle additional sauce over it to keep it hot or just serve as is and it won’t be piping hot but it will be very warm.
