Fall Fashion Week Part 2
Exhausting, glamorous, overwhelming, enthralling…AND sleepless! But who’s complaining we live for this stuff! This was by far one of our most exciting Fashion Weeks, with the most shows we’ve ever done and some really incredible hair stories. Cutler definitely put its stamp on this seasons Fashion Week! Some of our favorites for the second half of Fashion week were:
The Rebecca Taylor show bringing a hippy chic 60’s look to the spring 2009 season. We backcombed at the crown for height and set the hair with a medium curling iron, using REDKEN 22 Hot Sets and completing the look with a bit of Cutler’s Fly Away Stick on the ends of the hair.
The Tony Maticevski collection stood out over other shows during the week and we got to reinvent the hair knot. Sleeking the hair back with Cutler’s Straightening Cream we folded the bun in half and secured it with a ponytail band. We then twisted the bun for a less formal finish to the hair using REDKEN 18 Quick Dry.
Heather Packer from our Cutler team lead the Omnialuo show. We started with Cutler’s Volumizing Spray, creating a set and then we rolled the hair back into a bun. We then loosely pulled it apart, for a modern affect, finishing finished with a more casual effect, which was beautiful as well. So whichever style you prefer with REDKEN 09 Work Force. We particularly loved the way the hair looked half way both ended up being beautifully stylish with a contemporary end result.
You can’t have fashion week without the ever so popular timeless ponytail. They seem to be a favorite every season. We got to exercise our perfect ponies in the Tadshi show. Believe it or not it’s the most difficult style to get right. I particularly love this one because it’s so fresh and where it sits in the center of the head it can’t help but create a beautiful silhouette. Blow dry with Cutler’s Straightening Cream and finalize with Cutler’s Fly Away Stick.
So, there you have it a little over a week of action packed fashion extravaganza! I can’t wait until next season!
