Daytime Show Announces Search For Five Cooks To Compete For the Opportunity To Demonstrate Their Skills In Front Of The World

New York, NY September 12, 2007 – The “Rachael Ray” show is looking for a few good cooks with a competitive streak who want to pit their skills against each other for the opportunity to take Rachael’s spot in the kitchen for a day and cook their own original recipe on her daytime show.

Starting today, the show is launching a search called “So You Think You Can Cook?” and is accepting video resumes of budding cooks demonstrating why they think they should be one of the five cooks chosen to be in New York for a series of culinary competitions.

Starting on November 1st, the show will air the various challenges contestants will face, with the top cooks moving on to the next round and one cook having to hang up their apron after each competition.

At the end of the challenge, one cook will be left standing and will have the opportunity to demonstrate their own original recipe on the “Rachael Ray” show with Rachael as their sous chef.  The recipe will also be published in Every Day With Rachael Ray magazine.

The winning cook will also participate in a training program at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America.

Cooks should go to the “Rachael Ray” website, www.rachaelrayshow.com, to learn more about the competition.  All submissions must be postmarked by September 27th, 2007 and received by October 3rd, 2007.

The search and competition is brought to you by Wal-Mart.
