		<description>My kids love smoothies!  We use soy milk (organic/unsweetened) because of allergies.  I combine frozen fruit from our days of picking (including the kids in obtaining and growing the food keeps them interested and ready to try out new things)and a banana or fruit that may be on it's way out.  I have even dropped in carrots, so sweet and beets to keep em guessing!  Sometimes they choose and sometimes I surprise!  Great time to talk about fruits that are in season in our area and other places!  Let the kids pick their cups and straws (reuse each of course).  With these you never need to add sugar!  

One more tip!  Puree fruit and freeze in shaped ice cube trays for a flavorful addition to a smoothie or water!

Make it easy.  Get into a routine and your kids will make it fun and give you ideas!</description>
