Lasagna Stoup?

Dear Rachael,
My sister-in-law, Nash, and I were talking today about how much we LOVE lasagna. Our conversation quickly turned to other foods we enjoyed…the favorite being soups. We were wondering if you had/could write a recipe for lasagna “stoup.” We are both newly weds and are trying to impress our husbands with our cooking abilities.
Thanks,
Elissa K. and Nash B.

Ladies,

Lasagna stoup? Not so much, but great idea!  For now you can try one of my fave recipes called Chicken Catch-A-Tory Ravioli Stew or you can try Stuffed Pepper Stoup-both easy and delish!  Good luck with the hubbies!

    Hi there!
I live in Sweden and I always watch the show when I can (that is when I don’t work) and I get a lot of inspiration from it. The other day there was an old show and RR used leftover rice together with red beans and mixed it before frying. I’ve searched for the recipe here but can’t find it. Can you help me? I think it was served with a remoulade sauce too.
Thanks for sharing all your recipes with us!

I have an idea that I would like to share with you that we, as a family, have been eating for years. My kids call it “Fake Lasagna” We tried to call it “Lasagna Especialle” for a while, but that didn’t stick very well. I was working two part time jobs with two children in High School and one in Junior High when we came up with this. We LOVE lasagna and we never had time to fix it. So…take your favorite spaghetti sauce, mine is homemade, add a pound of cooked ground beef. Cook up your favorite funny pasta. Could be wagon wheel, gemeli, rotelli, whatever is in the cupboard. About a handful for each person who will be at dinner, right? Then cube about 6 oz. mozzerella cheese into 1/3 inch cubes. Have 1 pound of cottage or ricotta cheese waiting on the side. Mix sauce, ground beef, cooked pasta together. Make sure that everyone is ready to come to the table. Then fold in the cheeses to the hot mixture right before serving. Serve in a bowl with garlic bread or a salad. Enjoy!!
We all do, and even as adults my children come home and have a look of enjoyment on their faces if they see that this is what is on the menu for the evening meal.

    Hi Rachael,
I love all of your shows. I do a take on “fake Lasagna” also.
I take spaghetti sauce, mix with penne pasta, (our favorite here) dallup some ricotta cheese, cover with more sauce, then top with mozarrella & parmesan/reggiano cheese.
bake for around 30 min or until cheese is bubbly and brown.

You could serve it with out baking as above, but we love the crusty cheese!!!

Hi Rachel I Love You and I LOVE your show even more you are the best at what you do and I wish that you win more and more Emmys. May God keep you as sweet as you are forever. I know many think that this is corny but I am your Biggest Fan. I brought a set of your pots and have not used them in a year because they are so pretty and I don’t want to mess them up. I want to purchase more things but i am afraid that I will do the same things. But the bubble browns may be my next purchase. Well thanks for being you and keep up the great work.

    Rachel,
My friend and I heard through the grapevine, because we love your show, but both work, so we hit and miss most of the time, (I do watch 30 min meals almost everyday or so), anyway! that you were having a cooking contest where we are supposed to send you a tape of us cooking. Can’t find any specifics on it. Could you please send me some info?
