Picky eaters everywhere love peanut butter. Heck, people everywhere love peanut butter. And since it is high in protein and the good fats, you can feel good about giving it to your child, unless of course they have allergies to nuts. If they do like peanut butter, try almond and cashew butters too, just to mix things up.
Personally, I am a salty fan, more than a sweets person, so I prefer peanut butter when used in savory dishes like Thai food.
