Hi, Rachel could you do some meals for dogs on the go? I am a member of the National Animal Assisted Crisis Response and when we get called out to where ever I need to take food for my Newfoundland Lily with me. Or maybe some great treats that will last for a week or two? thanks, Char & Lily

Hey Rachel and all your fans,
We are pet lovers, and have a wonderful dog and lots of cats. We also raised an abandoned baby deer last year, and our black lab dog, Buddy, grew to love the deer. They became close friends. Here's a video of Buddy and the little deer, named "Theen", playing with a soccer ball together. There's also a followup video of them playing with another ball at a later date. Too cute!!! I hope everyone enjoys this video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnZSTkycovg

There are more photos and video links of them on their facebook page, which is called "Fans of Baby Deer Theen and Black Lab Buddy". It can be found on facebook by doing a search for "Buddy Theen". Enjoy!!!

Dear Rachel, I just wanted to know if you know of any group that is donate cat food to my babies, I have 25 cats and 1 dog that I have either rescued or either someone dropped off at my door over the course of the past 5 years. For about the past 1 year I was able to go the the local SPCA which is about 1 hour away in Raleigh NC and get about 100 pounds of food free threw what they call a Pet Food Pantry, but back several months ago I was told that I could no longer get any food from them due to the rescues I have. These animals are my babies and I have raised them just like anything else. If you know anyone that might be able to help me, so that I dont have to turn them over to a shelter.
Thank you so much Lisa in Henderson NC

A pit bull sanctuary in Divide Colo is losing its home to foreclosure and eviction. Mariah's Promise (check out its website) is almost done and they have no idea where there 40 bullies will end up. The bank (in India) wants just $55,000 to sell the sanctuary property, home of the sanctuary founders, but Mariah's Promise has nothing like that, as all donations go for dog food and vet. You'd think it would be easy enough to raise but not here (its founder's husband lost his business a year ago and they have had to fight neighbors in court for several years now).

Anybody have any ideas for helping the sanctuary buy its home?
