A Black Walnut & Apple Torte

In my opinion there is nothing better than a sweet treat for breakfast. Don’t get me wrong, I love savory things too, but just give me a piece of french toast, some cinnamon raisin pancakes and anything drizzled in maple syrup and I am all set.

So here is the latest an greatest morning sweet treat I have tasted. It comes direct from my boyfriend, Stephen’s dad, Rick who is always cooking up great stuff.

Try it and trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Black Walnut & Apple Torte

- 1 egg slightly beaten

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 1-1/2 cups peeled and cored sliced Michigan apples (Granny Smith or McIntosh)

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 cup flour

Sounds really tasty! That is 1/2 cup, isn’t it? Lol! It may take some looking to find Black Walnuts in St. Pete, FL, but I do love them!
