Heartbroken by the thought of the millions of mistreated and abandoned animals taken in by shelters each year, Rachael Ray created a web page, Rachael's Rescue, to highlight organizations that are dedicated to helping animals in need. In support of their work, she's also launched a new line of pet food called Rachael Ray Nutrish™. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these products will go to the organizations listed at rachaelsrescue.org and to other similar animal welfare operations.

Overwhelmed by the many letters we receive daily from small shelters and animal welfare organizations seeking help, Rachael decided to launch Mutt Madness. Mutt Madness is a fun way to help a variety of organizations big, small and in between that work tirelessly to help animals in need. To read more about Mutt Madness, see the Rules. In this game, the public gets to vote for the winners, which will receive cash awards to help fund their 501(c)(3) organizations.
