Fashion That Gives Back
B-2! BINGO!
Don't pass this fantastic cashmere hoodie up! Help Yum-o! and take home this prize for yourself.
Rachael did not wear this on the red carpet- better yet… she wore it on the August 2007 cover of her magazine, 'Everyday with Rachael Ray'. This can be yours along with an autographed copy of the magazine. Thanks to your requests, we are going to be offering a few of her past cover outfits. We thought it was a great idea! Thanks to everyone for writing in.
This little breath of sunshine sweater is from J. Crew and is 100% cashmere in a size medium. It was worn only once for the photo shoot. Rachael chose this from 3 racks of sweaters, hoodies, and beach cover-ups. Photo shoots can be so stressful because there are so many factors to take into consideration. The magazine editors want a color that will "pop" off the stands at the check-out aisle. Rachael wants to wear something flattering that looks real. She gravitates towards darker colors and earth tones. This little sweater had to have a lot of "heart" to win her over. Rachael ended up loving it because it was so flattering on. It's not boxy and it is super soft.
Jane's Wardrobe Style Tips:
- The cashmere is really thin and it would look great layered. Wear it with a little tank underneath or even a bathing suit top.
- You can wear it under a blue jean jacket because it's not bulky at all.
- Layers are the ticket for a blustery day at the beach. You can control your own temperature that way
- Yellow is really a hot color this summer. Try putting it with a khaki or linen clam digger pant like we did or pair it with a boyfriend jean. Check out www.us.levi.com they have the cutest 501 cut boyfriend jean for women. You could also borrow a pair from your significant other or your brother or your father- you get the idea…
- For shoes try flip flops or converse at www.converse.com, there are some really cute Chuck Taylor slip-ons designed by John Varvatos. But this is the best tip yet! You must check out the switch flops! www.switchflop.com –change your look not your sole :}. This is a super economical as well as adorable way to match your flip flops to your clothing! It saves a lot of space in your closet as well. Love it!

Rodney Cutler's Haircare Tips:
Since we're talking about the beach and summer, here are a few haircare swimming pool pointers:
- Before entering the pool, rinse your hair with cool water. It will lock in the water and seal the cuticle and create a barrier between the hair shaft and the chlorine.
- Obviously wearing a swim cap is not the best way to attract your future husband but either is walking around with chlorinated dry hair. Have no shame… don the cap.
- If you do brave it, layer a thick conditioner like Cutler Intensive Conditioner on your hair under cap to help add that barrier of protection.
- For those of your who just cannot bring themselves to throw one on… apply a protectant sun oil on your hair after you rinse it with cool water. Use Frederic Fekkai's Summer Hair Sunshine Shield Spray.
- Rinse with clear water after leaving the pool so you don't sit in the sun with chlorine water in your hair. If you can, cover your hair from sun.
- Once you are done with the sun, cleanse your hair as soon as possible with a chelating shampoo which removes minerals like Redken Hair Cleansing Cream.
