Serve this sensational cranberry sauce with your holiday meal. If you don’t want to use alcohol, substitute orange juice instead of water, add a pinch of cinnamon and skip the Grand Marnier.
- 1 cup water
- 1 bag whole cranberries (12 ounces)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 splash orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
Boil the water, cranberries and sugar on the stovetop. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes, or until the cranberries are to your desired mushiness. Add the Grand Marnier.
Serve warm, room temperature or cold. This sauce will keep in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for days.
