Nick’s Tom and Jerry
This cocktail was given to us by master mixologist and close friend of Rachael’s, Nick Mautone, who wrote the book, Raising The Bar.
According to Nick, this is “a twist on the classic Tom and Jerry made by the father of mixology, Jerry Thomas, in the 1860’s. The original used gin and brandy.”
- 1 1/2 ounce Atlantico Rum or any dark Rum
- 3/4 ounce Brandy
- 1/2 ounce syrup
- 1 ounce milk or cream
- Grated nutmeg, for garnish
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into glass and garnish.
