This cocktail was given to us by master mixologist and close friend of Rachael’s, Nick Mautone, who wrote the book, Raising The Bar.
Nick tells us that this is a “Simply extraordinary cocktail with wild spicy and peppery notes. Sage is widely available but not as widely used in mixology.”
- 4 sprigs fresh sage
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 4 slices of cucumber
- 1 1/2 ounces VeeV Acai Spirit
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1 ounce lime juice
- Sage leaf, for garnish
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker place the syrup and sage and muddle well. Add ice and the rest of the ingredients, shake vigorously. Double strain into a cocktail or rocks glass.
