RECIPE

“Can I Help?” Cookies

This recipe was sent from rachaelray.com visitor, Cindy Azadi who tells us:

“These are the best cookies for children to help with! I learned to measure as a child making these cookies. Easy one pan cookies everyone can enjoy!”

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup such as Karo brand
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 375°F.

Cream butter, brown sugar, and egg.

Add salt, baking soda, Karo, and vanilla. Gradually add flour until combined. Last but not least, add chocolate chips (Sometimes I add the entire bag of chips!)

Spread out in a 9×12 inch greased baking pan. Bake until edges are brown (about 7 minutes depending on your oven. Toothpick should come out clean).
