Güero's Taco Bar has been a popular South Austin taqueria since 1986 when owners Rob and Cathy Lippincott opened a modest restaurant on East Oltorf Street. In the fall of 1994 they purchased the 100 year old Central Feed and Seed building on South Congress and began renovation. The project was completed in March of 1995 and Güero's moved to its new home.
