15 Awesome Ways to Eat Avocados

Avocado is a surprisingly indulgent, good-for-you food. And lately, we can’t get enough of them. 

Picking the perfect avocado is key. Avocados that are ready to eat are not mushy, but not hard. They “give” a bit with a gentle squeeze of your hand. If you’re not using them for a few days, buy firmer avocados, which will need 1 to 2 days to ripen.

Some of our favorite ways to eat avocados are quite simple: Mash them up and spread them on toast or bagels. Slice them up and add them to any salad. Cut one in half, sprinkle with a little salt, and grab a spoon. You really can’t go wrong.
