An Italian Christmas

Rachael and her family truly value the time they have together around the holidays. In upstate New York, she makes the most of the time she has with family and friends with good laughs and good food.

As you may expect, when Rach and her family cook around the holidays, the menu is as rich in flavors as it is with tradition. From her grandpa’s roast to her sister’s sweet (but not too sweet) desserts, the meals they whip up are all made with love.

You can make many of the same meals Rachael makes for her family for your own with her latest book, Everyone is Italian on Sunday. In the meantime, why not have an Italian-inspired Christmas this year with nine of our favorites:

Christmas Pasta

Holidays aren’t complete without a full stomach! Dig into this festive dish complete with tons of meat and a bright red sauce.

Peas with Prosciutto

Perfectly crispy prosciutto can add excitement to any side dish!

Cioppino: A Fine Kettle of Fish

From shrimp to mussels, this cioppino has it all! Rach makes this dish as a substitute for the Feast of Seven Fishes. Easy, quick, and delicious!

Grandpa’s Garlic Shrimp

If you want to make something that is mouthwatering and takes little time, Grandpa’s Garlic Shrimp is the dish for you. It only requires six ingredients and will please the whole family.

Roasted Green Beans and Tomatoes

Make your green beans a flavorful addition to the table with some added cheese, tomatoes and onions!

Prepare to lick the bowl clean! Rachael’s Ribollita is made incredibly hearty with puréed beans and toasted stale bread.

Grandpa’s Braised Beef

A recipe that’s been passed down for generations! One of Rach’s favorites, her grandpa’s braised beef is moist and tender for a perfectly filling meal.

Broccoli Rabe (Rapini) with Ricotta Salata

Give anchovies a shot in this delicious broccoli rabe. Salty and flavorful, it’s a green that everyone will enjoy.

Apple Torte

Finish the meal on a high note with Maria’s Apple Torte. Its buttery, moist cake is filled with deliciously sweet apples for an impressive dessert.
