Grandma Kirstine’s Butter Cookies

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the vanilla and egg. Gradually add the flour and salt.
Make small wreaths with the star-shaped extruder of a cookie press (or a cookie bag witha star-shaped tip).
Bake for 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
