Italian Christmas Breakfast: Bagnacauda

This unusual Christmas breakfast recipe was submitted by user Chris Anderson.


  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 tins anchovies
  • 1 whole clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cans evaporated milk


Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the anchovies. Cook until pasty, then add the garlic.

Reduce the heat and add the milk; cook on low heat so that the milk doesn’t boil or curdle. Cook until everything is heated through.

Serve with bread.
