Prosciutto and Figs

The combination of lime, honey and pepper offers just the right amount of sweet and heat.  This is a great starter for an Italian seafood dish.


  • 8 slices prosciutto di Parma
  • 8 fresh figs
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Freshly ground coarse black pepper


Spread the prosciutto out on a serving dish. Cut the figs in half and layer them over the ham. Drizzle with the lime juice and honey and sprinkle with freshly ground coarse black pepper.
