Easy-to-Make 4th of July Recipes

There's no better way to celebrate Independence Day than with good company and, of course, good food! These recipes are total crowd-pleasers and will make a delicious addition to your Fourth of July party spread.

Mouthwatering Entrées

If Rachael has any advice for the Fourth of July, it's to get outside and grill! Her Red, White and Blue-gers put a flavorful twist on the classic burger. Sub in a turkey patty for beef (the "white"), add red onions and bacon (the "red"), and top with homemade blue cheese and blue corn tortilla chips (the "blue"). The burgers grill up nicely outside, but if rainy weather forces you indoors, you can make them just as easily in a skillet. Tip for the best burgers: Make sure to make the patty thinner at the center and thicker at the edges for even cooking. For those who prefer hot dogs over burgers, you have to try Rach's Firecracker Deviled Corn Dogs. Just make sure you have a large baking sheet on hand to help them cool down properly before you enjoy, and serve with a variety of sauces for dipping.

Savory Side Dishes

Complement your main dishes with some made-for-summer sides. Rachael's fresh Italian-American Salad is loaded with veggies and drizzled in her tasty homemade Italian dressing. You can make it vegetarian, too—just leave out the antipasto. Serve in a large white bowl so the colors of the salad pop. Corn on the cobb is another summer favorite, and Rach takes it up a notch with her Grilled Corn Off the Cobb with Pimiento Cheese. It takes next to no time to make and you only really need two tools: a grater for the garlic and a food processor.
